Gerald Coetzee
The recent case could be a concern for Gujarat Titans, as Gerald Coetzee is set to play for them in IPL 2025. GT spent 2.40 crore on the Proteas bowler, but Coetzee recently suffered an injury. It came to light that he has a hamstring strain. He was playing in the SA20 for Joburg Super Kings when this issue emerged. This could create a problem for Gujarat Titans if Coetzee doesn’t recover in time for IPL 2025, as his presence in the IPL is expected to be big. Now, it all depends on how he repairs himself ahead of this cash-rich league.
Josh Hazlewood
Australian veteran pacer Josh Hazlewood, who, if everything goes right, is set for RCB in IPL 2025. However, this consistent pacer is currently facing an injury as well. Back in the recently held IND vs AUS series, where he sustained a right calf strain. That is the reason why he had to pull out midway through the series and did not play the last few matches. Scott Boland replaced him.
He will also not be available for the series against Sri Lanka, starting in the last week of January. RCB got him at the hefty price of INR 7.75 crore, Hazlewood’s injury is certainly a shock to RCB, but they hope he makes a speedy recovery since he will be their frontline bowler in IPL 2025.
Anrich Nortje
One more pacer who is dealing with an injury is the Proteas’ Anrich Nortje. This South African bowler is suffering from an injury, and this is why he is ruled out from the ongoing SA20 competition. Nortje is now also out of the Champions Trophy. If this continues, we may not see him in IPL 2025. However, we hope he will recover before the IPL so that, upon entering the tournament, he can deliver some of his best performances for the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders.
