A Total Of 15 Teams Disqualified Ahead of BGIS 2026 Round 3. Three teams who cheated in Round 2 have been banned.

As the dust settles on the opening rounds of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026, the competitive landscape has been dramatically reshaped by a wave of strict disciplinary actions. Ahead of the highly anticipated BGIS 2026 Round 3, which officially kicks off on February 12, 2026, KRAFTON has sent a clear message regarding competitive integrity by disqualifying 15 teams and handing out bans to 3 others for significant rule violations.

BGIS 2026 Round 3 Starts February 12

With 256 teams advancing to Round 3, the stakes have never been higher. Starting February 12, these squads will be divided into groups to fight for a spot in Round 4. Fans can catch the live action on the official Krafton India Esports YouTube channel.

From roster inconsistencies under the Single Team Exclusivity rule (2.1.5) to severe infractions like cheating (6.2.2) and document falsification (6.3.12), these sanctions serve as a stern reminder that the road to the ₹2 Crore prize pool demands not just elite skill, but absolute professional transparency.

RULES Broken by Disqualified and Banned Teams

RULE 2.1.5Single Team Exclusivity – A Team Member is only allowed to compete or work for the one Team that they have an agreement with. Additionally, a Team Member may only have an agreement with one Team. A Team Member will not be allowed to compete for more than one Team simultaneously and therefore cannot be listed on the roster of more than one Team.

RULE 6.2.2 – Cheating – Cheating is prohibited. Any modification of the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA game client by any player, Team or other Team Member is prohibited. The use of any kind of cheating hardware, device or cheat program, or any similar cheating method such as signaling devices, and hand signals, etc., shall be deemed cheating. Downloading any
cheat program to the device used for Official Competition match is strictly prohibited. Intentionally playing with another player on public match for two or more matches within 72 hours while having knowledge of the other player is using a cheating device or cheat program, or any similar cheating method is prohibited as well.

RULE 6.3.12 – Document Submission – Tax forms, registration forms, parental consents and other documentation may be required at various times by the Tournament Organizer. A Team Member violates these General Rules if he or she knowingly provides false or inaccurate information to KRAFTON or the Tournament Organizer. A Team may be subject to sanctions if the
documentation is not completed to the standards set by the Tournament Organizer.
