Men’s Singles: Viktor Axelsen vs Kunlavut Vitidsarn 20-22, 21-10, 12-21
Thailand’s rising star Kunlavut Vitidsarn has stunned World No 1 and BWF World Finals champion Viktor Axelsen. The 21-year-old held on to his nerves to claim the first game 22-20. But The Danish star wasn’t going down easily. He stormed back and wrapped up the second game in just 15 minutes in a lop-sided 21-10 result. However, Vitidsarn kept all his energy alive for the decider. He claimed the decider 21-12 to win his first India Open title. This is also his first Super 750 title.
Women’s Singles: Akane Yamaguchi vs AN Se Young – 21-15, 16-21, 12-21
An Se-Young has become the first Korean player to win India Open Super 750 title. At the KD Jadhav Hall on Sunday, the Korean rising star bounced back to claim a 15-21, 21-16, 21-12 win over Japanese Akane Yamaguchi. This was Yamaguchi’s third straight final and won the World Tour Finals and Malaysia Open. But the Korean has finally managed to crack the Japanese code.

Mixed Doubles Final: Watanabe/ Higashino vs Yi Lyu/ Dong Ping (Walkover)
Japanese pair of Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino bagged the mixed doubles title. They got a walkover from fourth-seeded Chinese pair of Yi Lyu Wang and Huang Dong Ping.
Women’s Doubles Final: Chen/ Fan vs Matsuyama/ Shida (Walkover)
In another walkover in the women’s doubles finals, top-seeded Chinese pair Chen Qing Chen and Yi Fan Jia have given a walkover to Japanese pair Nami Matsuyama-Chiharu Shida.
Men’s Doubles: Keng/ Chang vs Chia/ Yik – 14-21, 21-19, 21-18
In the men’s doubles finals, Chinese pair of Wei Keng and Wang Chang has clinched the title. In a pulsating final, they defeated Malaysian pair of Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik 14-21, 21-19, 21-18. After losing the first game, they bounced back in style to outscore Malaysian pair.
