Suryakumar Yadav has had a busy international schedule since last year, and yet, is keen to play in all India fixtures lined up.

Even though MI batter Suryakumar Yadav is fully fit, but the kind of form he is at the moment… he is no mood to take a break from cricket. As per a report in the Times of India, despite playing back-to-back cricket, he is all set to take part in the T20 Mumbai League 2026 – that commences on June 1, playing for the Triumph Knights.

Suryakumar Yadav to play non-stop cricket

That is not it. He is also keen on playing the Ireland and the England series’ as well, that gets underway in late June. That kind of commitment also stems from the fact, that Surya plays only one format — T20s, and would like to maximise the number of matches he plays.

Earlier, there were calls of change in captaincy in the T20Is, after India’s triumphant campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026 — where Surya was the leader; but as per Revsportz, there are no such immediate plans. His form is a cause of worry though. In the IPL this yar, he has scored only 210 runs in 12 innings, at an average of 17.50.

But then he has had decent returns in the international arena in 2026. In 14 matches, he has scored 484 runs at an average of 44, including 4 fifties. In fact, 242 of those came in the T20I World Cup. Coming back to the IPL, MI have been eliminated already, and have only one match left.

He led the side in a couple of matches where Hardik Pandya was not available. He himself had to miss one, as he was blessed with a baby girl during the tournament.
