The opening day of the UWW U23 World Wrestling Championships did not go India’s way. Despite of 3 Indian wrestlers making to the last 8 stage, only 1 could make it to the semi-finals. Not only this VeerDev Gulia who entered semifinals of the 79kg weight category lost out his late night bout against the wrestler from Azerbaijan. Gulia will today play for the bronze medal late in the night at 10.30PM. On day 2, India will field their best medal prospects for this championships.
