Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn: Roman Reigns defeats Sami Zayn to retain the Undisputed Universal Title to headline WrestleMania 39

Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn faced each other in the main event of Elimination Chamber. Both men squared off inside the Bell Centre in front of 17000 fans who supported their local boy, Sami Zayn. In the first few minutes, the champion and challenge stared at each other while the fans booed Reigns.

Soon, both men started the match with aggressive strikes at each other. Although Reigns had the power advantage, Zayn did his best to overpower the champion. After a few significant strikes, the Montreal Local Boy launched himself on Roman Reigns on the sidelines. Later, Zayn added delivered huge blows to the Head of the Table, humiliating him in front of the crowd.

However, Roman Reigns added the breaks to the Honorary Uce’s momentum. On the other hand, the Tribal Chief trash-talked to Zayn’s wife while hammering Sami Zayn. The match continued with both men destroying each other. Even though Sami Zayn delivered the Heluva kick, he failed to pin Reigns.

Despite several attempts from Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn didn’t give up. During the course of time, two officials were out cold when Zayn almost had the win over the champion. On the other hand, Jey Uso came to aid Sami Zayn when the Tribal Chief tried to smash the challenger with the steel chair.

Unfortunately, Sami Zayn accidentally spears Jey Uso which allowed Reigns to capitalize and hit the final blow with a spear. Eventually, Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed Universal Title to headline WrestleMania 39.
