Niantic the publisher of Pokémon GO is set to bring Small Yet Strong Event for players. The event will be live from Wednesday, February 5, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Players will be awarded with 2× XP for catching Pokémon. Increased chance to encounter XXS and XXL Pokémon in the wild. Check out the detailed information below:
Pokémon GO Small Yet Strong Event: Wild Encounters
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild. Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Nymble—if you’re lucky!
Flabébé with differently colored flowers will also be appearing in the wild depending on where you are in the world:
- Red Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
- Blue Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Asia-Pacific region
- Yellow Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Americas
If you’re lucky, you might encounter White Flower Flabébé and Orange Flower Flabébé, no matter what region you’re in.

The following Pokémon will hatch from 2 km Eggs:
- Togepi

- Budew

Field Research Task Rewards: Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Complete Field Research tasks to earn encounters with Burmy and Nymble.
Timed Research: Event-themed Timed Research will be available throughout the event. Catch Pokémon to earn XP, Poké Balls, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
Collection Challenge: An event-themed Collection Challenge is coming! Complete the Collection Challenge to receive Stardust and an encounter with Nymble.
