The chaotic world of South Park has officially collided with the Fortnite Island, bringing a heavy dose of irreverence, iconic humor, and game-changing loot to the battle royale. Epic Games has launched the “South Park: Born in Chaos” event, a massive collaboration running from January 9 through February 5, 2026. For nearly a month, players can step into the shoes of Colorado’s most famous fourth graders and unleash mayhem with weaponry torn straight from the show’s legendary episodes.

At the heart of this update is a suite of mythic items designed to disrupt the standard meta with the show’s signature “power of imagination.” The most formidable addition is arguably the “Stick of Truth.” A relic of immense power in South Park lore, this item allows players to actually control the Storm, offering a strategic advantage that could easily decide the final circle.

Alongside it, players can find “Cheesy Poofs,” the beloved snack that doubles as a tactical item; consume them to heal your squad or hurl them at opponents to deal damage. Perhaps the most meta addition is “Kenny’s Respawn Token,” an item that grants an automatic reboot—a hilarious nod to the character’s inability to stay dead.

The map itself has evolved to host this crossover, featuring the debut of the “Cartmanland” Point of Interest (POI). Players can explore Eric Cartman’s dream theme park, likely turning the rides and attractions into intense battlegrounds. To accommodate the larger cast of characters, a new 5-person playlist dubbed “Quints” has been added on the Golden Coast, allowing squads to expand beyond the traditional quartet.

Born in Chaos Pass

For those looking to expand their locker without spending V-Bucks, the update includes the “Born in Chaos” Pass. This free reward track challenges players to complete South Park-themed quests to unlock 13 different cosmetic items. Rewards include the “Backpack of CRED” Back Bling, the “Terrance and Phillip” Pickaxe, and the “Cheesy Poofs Rocketship” Emote. Dedicated players who complete every quest will earn the ultimate prize: the “Imaginationland Airship” Glider.

Finally, the Item Shop has been updated with premium skins for the main cast. Players can purchase outfits for Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, Kenny McCormick, and the ever-innocent Butters Stotch. With the event ending in early February, fans have a limited window to jump in, respect the authority of the new mythics, and secure their loot before the boys head back to Colorado.
