Team Vitality added another trophy to its cabinet, securing its second title of the 2026 season with a thrilling 3-0 victory over PARIVISION in the Grand Final of PGL Cluj-Napoca. Team Vitality’s Counter-Strike team has reaffirmed its status on the international stage, and their ambition remains the same: to continue this momentum and give nothing away to their opponents.

TEAM VITALITY Crowned Champions of PGL CLUJ-Napoca

This edition of PGL Cluj-Napoca featured nearly all of the top 16 teams globally, resulting in some of the toughest opposition of the year. Ranked number 1 in the HLTV rankings, Team Vitality remained unfazed, and their consistency carried them through to the top.

Starting in the Group Stage, Team Vitality opened with a convincing 2-1 win over G2 in Round 1, followed by another 2-1 triumph against The MongolZ in Round 2. They closed out the group with a commanding 2-0 victory over the defending PGL Cluj-Napoca champions, MOUZ. In the Grand Final, Team Vitality faced PARIVISION and produced a dominating performance, securing a final series score of 3-0.

Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut, named MVP of the tournament, guided the team to a stunning victory in Romania, capping off a dominant tournament run. The Frenchman becomes the only player in history to win 30 MVP awards, reinforcing his status as the best player in the world and an undisputed icon of the Counter-Strike scene.

The legendary roster – comprised of Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire, Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut, Robin ‘ropz’ Kool, William ‘mezii’ Merriman, and Shahar ‘flameZ’ Shushan – claimed their second triumph of 2026 with this victory, and remain determined to carry forward their momentum from 2025.

VITALITY’S ROAD TO THE GRAND SLAM

This victory builds on their earlier success at the inaugural IEM Kraków and showcases why Team Vitality remains the team to beat. apEX and his squad are just one EGS-eligible trophy away from claiming the $1 million Grand Slam prize, with IEM Rio in April providing their next opportunity, as they will skip the upcoming ESL Pro League.

Next up: BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026, from March 18th to March 29th.
