Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. (KONAMI) announces today eFootball™ successfully concluded its first large-scale India Campaign in Mumbai. Bringing celebrity-powered fan engagement, the brand highlighted its long-term commitment to India’s growing gaming community in the presence of sporting icons Sunil Chhetri and KL Rahul amongst others.

eFootball™ Celebrates Indian Gaming Community

Running from August to December 2025, the campaign brought Indian eFootball™ fans together through in-game activities, national tournaments and a community event designed to celebrate both sport and culture. Thousands of gamers took part in special tournaments such as the Independence Cup and Diwali Cup, helping establish one of India’s most active football gaming communities.

A standout feature of the campaign was an exclusive in-game jersey designed by renowned artist Santanu Hazarika along with a special in-game card featuring Indian football icon Sunil Chhetri, both created to celebrate India’s presence on the global gaming stage. This design marked a unique cultural moment for eFootball™, blending art, sport, and gaming in a way that resonated with fans across the country.
