CSA T20 League: Sunrisers Eastern Cape: Sunrisers Hyderabad is the latest South Africa T20 League franchise to announce their name. The IPL team has named Port Elizabeth franchise Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The only signing so far for the team is Aiden Markram, who is also on SRH’s IPL roster. Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Rising Pune SuperGiants and Rajasthan Royals have already signed bulk of the players. Delhi Capitals which will be called Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the only two teams to go slow on signings.
With four franchise leagues clashing in the January-February window, the teams are leaving no stones unturned to get the top players on board. UAE’s International T20 League, Australia’s Big Bash League and Bangladesh Premier League will clash during the window.
ILT20 and BBL are the two major competitors of CSA T20 League. While ILT20 League has already got major players from West Indies, the CSA T20 League has retained South African players.
