The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have played four seasons, qualifying for playoffs just twice.

Yuvraj Singh is perhaps the most gifted white-ball cricketer India have ever produced. The hype for the T20 World Cup is currently ongoing but this man has already completed the World Cup story, having won both the T20I and ODI World Cups for India. Now, is he waiting for the right moment to make his comeback in the tournament, which is perhaps the biggest after the World Cup?

Well, we are talking about the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is going to restart in 20 days from now. Just recently, Yuvraj Singh was spotted with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain and India’s current superstar Rishabh Pant. In fact, LSG themselves posted the picture, where Pant was seen talking to Yuvraj while training, captioning the post, “IPL 2026, get ready”.

Yuvraj Singh to be part of LSG?

Well, the post has given birth to various speculations. The biggest one being the idea of Yuvraj perhaps joining the Lucknow franchise. While he can individually train Pant. There’s a weight behind this too, considering Yuvraj was seen helping Sanju Samson before the World Cup too.

However, the rumours of Yuvraj perhaps joining LSG aren’t new as well. Last year, Insidesport revealed that Yuvraj was in serious talks with LSG. The franchise ideally wanted the former all-rounder to become the new head coach of the team. While the move never came to fruition, the desire for LSG to have Yuvraj as part of their camp hasn’t died down.

Having said that, LSG parted ways with mentor Zaheer Khan after just one season. Then came the signing of Bharat Arun as a bowling coach who was previously with Team India and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Meanwhile, Carl Crowe has joined the LSG team as their spin bowling coach, bringing his valuable experience from his previous stint with KKR.

With Kane Williamson also stepping in as a strategic advisor, the Rishabh Pant-led side looks stacked with experience and cricketing brains. Ideally, LSG would want someone like Yuvraj to replace Zaheer as mentor of the side.
