India Champions have unveiled their squad for the much-anticipated World Championship of Legends (WCL) Season 2, with Yuvraj Singh set to return as captain of a star-studded lineup. The defending champions, who clinched the inaugural title in 2024, will head to England later this month to defend their crown in the six-nation tournament featuring some of cricket’s most iconic names.
Yuvraj to lead Raina, Dhawan
India’s 16-member squad sees the return of fan favourites including Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, and Yusuf Pathan. Batting firepower, spin variety, and experienced seam options make this a well-rounded outfit. The pace attack will be handled by Varun Aaron, Siddarth Kaul, and Vinay Kumar, while the spin duties will rest with Harbhajan, Piyush Chawla, and Negi.
The squad announcement was followed by a spike in excitement among fans, especially with India set to renew its fierce rivalry with Pakistan Champions in their opening clash on July 20 — a rematch of last year’s final.
