In what is a good news for Mumbai cricket team, Yashasvi Jaiswal is all set to return to action by February 6, right in time for the Ranji Trophy quarterfinal clash. Jaiswal, who suffered food poisoning previously, is yet to completely recover.

Yashasvi Jaiswal injury update

As per Sports Tak, Jaiswal’s condition has been improving and he has been advised to undergo further evaluation after meeting the doctor a couple of days ago. The report states that he is advised to start physical training and skill work from Wednesday (January 28) onwards and that he will be on medication for the next two weeks. The report adds that Jaiswal is expected to be fit in time for Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy quarterfinal clash on February 6.

Jaiswal will miss the Ranji Trophy tie against Delhi on January 29, as per this report. Yashasvi’s recovery comes as good news for Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2026 as they can bank on their go-to opener to go all guns blazing in the tournament.

Yashasvi will be aiming to improve his numbers after scoring 58, 13, 18 and 22 against South Africa in the last Test series. Following that, Jaiswal scored 29, 101 and 15 in SMAT. He then scored 46, 3 and 15 in the three VHT matches that he played.

It’s a problem which has persisted with him (Jaiswal) since he was hospitalised after Mumbai’s last game in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy in Pune, where he was afflicted by a severe bout of food poisoning,” a source told Times Now.
