WATCH: Michael Vaughan's son involved in a chaotic 7-run marathon against SA U19

Hitting a six is a normal occurrence in cricket, but have you ever seen a batting duo running 7 runs? That's what we witnessed recently in the game between England U-19 and South Africa U-19.

Big runs don’t always come from hitting the ball out of the park; sometimes, running all over the pitch can grab the spotlight and, most importantly, frustrate the fielding team. That’s exactly what happened during the Under-19 game between England and South Africa. It became especially interesting when England’s Aryan Sawant, who was batting at No. 4, drove the ball through the offside to South African fielder Raeeq Daniels.

Sawant and Archie Vaughan ran three runs. And then a poor throw came from the outfield, which wicketkeeper Lethabo Phahlamohlaka failed to collect, and both batters seized the opportunity to run two more, which is common in cricket. However, what happened next was a rare sight, one more inaccurate throw came from deep on the leg side, with no fielder near the stumps, allowing the pair to complete two additional runs, finishing their effort with seven runs in total.

Although, in the end, the game went in favor of the South African team, despite captain Archie Vaughan, who is the son of former England skipper Michael Vaughan, making 60 runs, the team collapsed from the other end. As a result, they failed to score more than 156, which South Africa chased down in 35.1 overs with four wickets remaining, thanks to their skipper Bennie Hansen’s 57.
