India U19 cricket team have clinched their sixth title as they beat England by 100 runs in the final of the ICC U19 World Cup 2026. Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s 175 run knock couple with impressive performances from RS Ambrish and other bowlers have powered India to the big win. IND U19 registered their 7th consecutive win in the tournament to lay their hands on the silverware.

Batting first, India U19 posted a mammoth total of 411 runs at the end of 50 overs. This included a 175 run-knock from Vaibhav Suryavanshi, which was the second fastest century in the history of the tournament, off 55 deliveries. Overall, he smashed 15 fours and sixes each. Suryavanshi’s partnership with Ayush Mhatre was worth 142 runs. He then went on to register an 89-run partnership with Vedant Trivedi as well. 32 runs from Vedant, 30 from Vihaan Malhotra, 40 from the evergreen Abhigyan Kundu and 37 from Kanishk Chouhan powered India to 411 runs.

In response, India U19 were able to bowl out England U19 for 311 runs, with a little over 10 overs to spare. RS Ambrish was the leader of the pack with 3 wickets to his name from 9 overs while he conceded just 56 runs. Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chouhan took two wickets each while Khilan Patel and Ayush Mhatre took 1 wicket each
Suryavanshi finishes as the second highest run-getter in the tournament, with 439 runs to his name. England’s Manny Lumsden finishes as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament.
