The 29-year-old Melbourne Stars wicketkeeper-batter is the top run-scorer in the ongoing T20 league, having amassed 365 runs in eight innings at an average of 73.0.

The 29-year-old batter, Matt Renshaw is also a key player in the BBL 2025-26 who will miss the upcoming edition of the IPL. Despite being the second-highest run-scorer in BBL 2025-26 with 325 runs in nine innings, Renshaw will miss the IPL 2026 season after not registering in the auction.

Former Australia batter and a veteran of the game, David Warner is also a big name who will miss the IPL 2026 edition despite score over 300-runs in the BBL 2025-26. Despite having scored over 6500 runs in the cash-rich league, Warner will sit out in the 19th edition after going unsold in the IPL 2025 auction, followed by not registering for the 2026 season.

Another notable name in the list of players who will miss the IPL 2026 despite a remarkable performance in the BBL 2025-26 is Tom Curran. The England bowling all-rounder, who is among the list of top wicket-takers in BBL 2025-26, went unsold in the IPL 2026 mini-auction despite registering for the auction with a base price of INR 2 Crore.

  • Gurinder Singh Sandhu

The highest wicket-taker of BBL 2025-26 season with 18 wickets across eight innings, Melbourne Renegades’ right-arm medium fast bowler will not be featuring in IPL 2026. The 32-year-old, who last played IPL in 2015 with Delhi Capitals (DC), continues to be out of the tournament.
