Bangladesh played their first Test match in 2000 against India, marking their arrival as the 10th Test-playing nation. Bangladesh Cricket Team Bio

They joined the ICC as an Associate Member in 1977, but the turning point came when they won the 1997 ICC Trophy in Malaysia, which helped them secure a spot in the 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup.
