5 group stage matches are yet to be played in the 2026 T20 World Cup. But the schedule for the Super 8 stage has been confirmed. Since the International Cricket Council (ICC) had pre-seeded the top teams, we already knew which Super 8 they would be slotted in.
Of course, teams had to qualify first. Earlier today, Pakistan beat Namibia by 102 runs in Colombo and sealed their spot in the Super 8. Seven sides had already made it to the next round. Pakistan became the eighth and final one. Now, the stage is set.
After the Ireland vs Zimbabwe match was washed out yesterday, the schedule for the Super 8 Group 1 was confirmed, with Australia getting eliminated in the group stage.
