After a fabulous Test campaign in 2025, which saw the South African team lift their maiden ICC title in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 mace, beating Australia, they kept their calendar busy with tours of India and others. But with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 being the next big assignment, all top-tier cricketing nations will aim to give their best to claim the title.
In the wake of the same, the South African men’s team has packed the first few months. As a part of their preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, the Proteas will host West Indies this month in a three-match T20I series. While the first T20I will be played in Paarl on 27th January, followed by a game each in Centurion and Johannesburg on 29th January and 31st January respectively.

Following the conclusion of the T20I series, the Protea Men will travel to India for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be played from February 7 till March 8. While the Rainbow Nation will look to claim their maiden T20 World Cup title, they will then travel to New Zealand for a five-match T20I series, which will run from 15th March until 25th March.
Furthermore, the dates and venues of South Africa cricket team’s roster is not known, they are expected to host Australia in September-October later this year for Test and ODI series, followed by hosting Bangladesh for a multi-format series in November. Additionally, the England men’s team is also anticipated to tour South Africa in December, where the two nations are speculated to play three Tests, three ODIs and as many T20Is.
