The leg-spinner became the first pick up a 7-wicket haul in Women’s World Cups, finishing with figures of 7/18 in 7 overs.

Australia and South Africa had both qualified for semi-finals making their clash in Indore a dead rubber. However, Alana King used it as a perfect opportunity to terrorize the opposition and make herself a few records.

South Africa got off to a flyer with Laura Wolvaardt only until Alana King arrived to bowl. The Aussie leg spinner ran webs around the Protea batters. South Africa slipped from 42/1 to 43/4 with King dismissing Sune Luus and Annie Dercksen.
