Royal Challengers Bengaluru seemingly did the impossible as they clinched a nail-biting win against CSK to qualify for IPL Playoffs. Faf du Plessis and co. made an epic comeback after a miserable start to IPL 2024, winning six games on the trot to make it to the top four.

RCB stun CSK to make it to IPL 2024 playoffs

RCB needed to defeat CSK by 18 runs or more in order to make it to the playoffs and Yash Dayal held his nerves to bowl a stunning last-over that saw his team across the line.

Despite rain halting the game briefly after the start of the game, RCB managed to capitalize as they dominated the CSK bowlers to register a mammoth 217-run total. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis starred for RCB with the bat, with the RCB skipper scoring a scintillating half-century.

In reply, RCB bowlers were right on the money from ball one, with Maxwell removing CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad for a golden duck. Rachin Ravindra attempted a valiant fight back with a half-century but fell short as RCB struck in regular intervals. It all came down to MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja to finish the match for CSK but the duo failed as RCB bowlers held their nerves to see their team across the line.
