The Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) is all set to commence from March 26 onwards and run all the way up to May 3 as per the tentative schedule. PSL 2026 is all set to overlap with IPL 2026, with discards from the latter a part of the former in the 11th edition of the tournament. Lahore Qalandars will take on Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen in the tournament opener in Lahore on May 26, as per reports.
PSL 11 tentative schedule announced
As per GeoSuper, the first phase of PSL 11 will see all six franchises playing seven matches each in a bid to qualify for the next round. The reports states that the teams will then be divided into two groups in the second phase of the tournament, where they will each play three more matches. Talking about the playoffs, Qualifier 1 is expected to be held in Rawalpindi on April 28, Eliminator 1 in Lahore on April 29, Eliminator 2 in Lahore on May 1 followed by the final at the Gaddafi Stadium on May 3.
The official schedule for the tournament is expected to be announced in the next few days. Incidentally, the BCCI will reportedly announce the schedule for IPL 2026, which will begin from March 28 onwards, on Monday (March 9). It is pertinent to point out that two new teams will be making their debut in PSL 11 – Hyderabad and Multan. Sultans were a part of PSL previously but were terminated by the PCB owing to differences with previous owner Ali Tareen. However, the new management has opted to change the name to Multan Sultans, which means they will be making a comeback to the tournament.
