Vishnu Vinod, born on December 2, 1993, in Pathanamthitta, Kerala, is a talented Indian cricketer recognized for his skills as a wicketkeeper-batsman. He represents Kerala in domestic cricket and has been a part of various Indian Premier League (IPL) teams throughout his career.
Vishnu’s journey in cricket began with his debut in the Twenty20 format for Kerala in the 2014–15 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, followed by his List A debut in the same season. He made his first-class debut for Kerala during the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy. One of his notable achievements came in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy when he scored an unbeaten 193 runs against Madhya Pradesh. Vishnu was also the top scorer for Kerala in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, amassing 508 runs and scoring three centuries.
In the IPL, Vishnu made his debut in 2017 when he was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement for the injured KL Rahul. He played a few matches during that season and later joined teams like Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In recent years, he was a backup wicketkeeper for Mumbai Indians during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
