Mukesh Choudhary’s journey into cricket began in a humble setting in his village, where opportunities were limited. As a young boy, he faced challenges as older boys in his village would not permit him to bat or bowl. However, driven by determination, his father enrolled him in a boarding school in childhood due to the lack of a cricket academy in their area. During his time at the school, Mukesh explored various sports, including basketball, volleyball, and hockey, which contributed to his athletic development.

Domestic Career

Choudhary made his domestic debut for Maharashtra in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy on November 9, 2017. Since then, he has evolved into a competent bowler, amassing a total of 38 wickets over 13 first-class matches. He transitioned to List A cricket with a debut on October 7, 2019, in the 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Mukesh also showcased his skills in T20 cricket, making his debut on November 8, 2019, during the 2019-20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

IPL Career

In February 2022, Mukesh Choudhary was signed by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the IPL auction, marking a significant milestone in his career. He made his IPL debut on March 31, 2022, against the Lucknow Super Giants. As of now, he has played in 14 matches for CSK and taken 16 wickets, with his best bowling figures being 4 for 46 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). His potential was recognized during the IPL Auction 2024 when CSK acquired his services for ₹20 lakhs.
