Pakistan women’s cricket team have decided to sack their head coach following their miserable campaign in the 2025 World Cup. The Women in Green finished at the 7th position, with 0 wins in the marquee tournament. And as suspected, the Pakistan Cricket Board is likely to change the head coach in the aftermath of the dreadful campaign.

Pakistan coach to be fired

As per news agency PTI, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who has refused to hand over India the Asia Cup 2025 trophy, is disappointed with the Pakistan women’s team performance in the World Cup. As per reports, Wasim has been blamed for lack of progress in batting, along with internal concerns were raised about his communication and coordination with other members of the coaching staff.

According to the report, Wasim’s criticism has particularly focused on Pakistan’s lack of progress in batting, an area that was expected to improve under a former international batter who represented the country in 18 Tests and 25 ODIs. Additionally, internal concerns were raised about his communication and coordination with other members of the coaching staff,” the report stated.
