Who is Rohan Desai?
Having served as GCA secretary since 2022, Desai has played an active role in cricket administration. He was also the manager of the Indian men’s team for the four-match T20I series in South Africa last year, which India won 3-1. Following the announcement, the GCA congratulated Desai, stating that his appointment reflects Goa’s rising stature in Indian cricket.
Desai was the sole candidate to file his nomination for the joint secretary position, making his election a mere formality. The event was attended by key BCCI office bearers, including president Roger Binny and vice-president Rajiv Shukla
