Mithun Manhas the new BCCI President; catch list of all office bearers after AGM

Former Delhi captain Mithun Manhas has been elected as the new president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The announcement came at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 28, where the fresh office-bearers were officially confirmed. Manhas succeeds 1983 World Cup winner Roger Binny, whose term came to an end.

Who is Mithun Manhas, new BCCI President?

Mithun Manhas, who never made his India debut but represented India A and was a domestic stalwart, brings rich experience from his playing days. In first-class cricket, he was known for his consistency and versatility. He also made his mark in List A cricket, scoring 4,126 runs in 130 matches at an average of 45.84 with five centuries and 26 fifties. Apart from batting, he contributed with off-spin and could also keep wickets when needed.

In the IPL, Manhas turned out for Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors India, and Chennai Super Kings between 2008 and 2014. Across 55 games, he scored 514 runs, though he never registered a fifty. Despite limited IPL returns, he was widely respected for his work ethic and cricketing acumen.
