Defending champions Mumbai Indians have retained 5 players ahead of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025/26) auction. Each franchise was allowed to retain five players – three Indian capped players, two overseas players, or two uncapped Indian players. If a team decided to retain all five, then at least one must be an uncapped Indian player.
MI’s retentions include World Cup-winning captain Harmanpreet Kaur and her teammate Amanjot. The two overseas players retained are England captian Nat Sciver-Brunt and Hayley. Kamalini has been retained as the uncapped Indian player. MI are left with no RTMs and have Rs 5.75 crore left in their auction purse.

The WPL Auction is slated to take place on November 27 in Delhi, and the BCCI has informed all the franchises about the same, as per Sportstar. To be precise, the event will be held in a hotel in Aerocity, close to the city’s airport.
