RCBW vs UPW, WPL 2026 LIVE: What did meg Lanning have to say?

12/01/2026 19:12

"We would have chased as well. You have to bat really well here. Hopefully we can get off to a good start and give ourselves a chance. We chased well and kept ourselves in the game, and we also created a lot of chances with the ball - we just didn’t take them. Against good sides, that makes a difference, but there’s still a lot to take confidence from. We’ve had a good week together leading into the first game, but the first match is always a bit chaotic with a new group. Now that it’s out of the way, hopefully we can keep improving and get a win tonight," UPW captain Meg Lanning said at the toss.

RCBW vs UPW LIVE: Smriti Mandhana speaks

12/01/2026 19:05

"We would like to first today. We have seen dew come in the later of the innings, we also won the previous game by chasing. DY Patil has been a big chasing ground, any total is not good enough, it is always easy to know what you are chasing. Nadine really got us through in bowling and batting, it is about contributions and we all want to contribute," Smriti Mandhana said after winning the toss.

RCBW vs UPW LIVE: Navi Mumbai pitch report

12/01/2026 18:29

The DY Patil pitch favours batters with consistent bounce and short boundaries, often leading to high scores (170+ competitive). Dew could aid the chase in the evening game. RCBW's momentum gives them a slight edge, but UPW's batting depth could make this competitive. Expect a high-scoring thriller with key battles in the powerplay and middle overs.

RCBW vs UPW LIVE: Can RCB make it two in a row?

12/01/2026 18:24

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women enter this clash with confidence after a dramatic last-ball victory over Mumbai Indians in the opener. Smriti Mandhana failed to hit the top gear while the team did not seem to have a settled combination. Players like Grace Harris, Richa Ghosh, and Lauren Bell will also look to add firepower.
