KKR intra-squad practice match live, IPL 2026: Team Gold vs Team Purple gets underway

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The three-time champions have a well-balanced unit and almost all the players have joined the camp much earlier. Barring Cameron Green and Matheesha Pathirana, all the players are in the pre-season camp now under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane.

This season marks the first assignment for Abhishek Nayar as KKR’s head coach, while Shane Watson is also there to oversee the preparations as an assistant coach. As for the players, they have already had multiple training sessions. From today onwards, some serious cricket beckons. At 5 PM IST, KKR will hold an official press conference which will be attended by Ajinkya Rahane, Abhishek Nayar, Shane Watson, and DJ Bravo. At 6 PM IST, KKR management has scheduled a intra-squad practice match at the Eden Gardens.
