IPL 2026 Schedule Updates: No announcement from BCCI on March 9

Well, that's it from us for the day. After spending 8 hours waiting for the IPL 2026 schedule, we'll have to say goodbye.

Such is the frustration that some are releasing their own IPL 2026 schedule. We don't condone this behaviour, but can understand why some are displeased by the constant delay.

It's expected that the state elections dates will be out on March 11. That means the IPL 2026 schedule could be out after that. Since 3 teams (KKR, CSK and RR) will be affected by them. 

At this point, it's all speculation. Because we have no official word from BCCI or Star Sports.

Fans aren't pleased with how BCCI and Star Sports have managed things. Just 19 days left until action and we have no schedule. How can one make plans for their favourite team?

It's past 9 PM and nothing yet. No stream on JioStar or broadcast on Star Sports. Doesn't look like the IPL 2026 schedule will be announced today.

The 8:30 PM time wasn't correct after all. Now, we move to the 9 PM one, the last one of the day. Mind you, it's changed 4 times already today. 4 to 6 to 8:30 to 9.

Pant training with Yuvraj has spawned rumours regarding him becoming LSG's new mentor. The position has been vacant since Zaheer Khan left in August 2025. 

Last year, InsideSport had reported that Yuvraj was in talks to join LSG but it didn't materialise.

At this moment, there's doubt over Harshit Rana's availability as well. He'd undergone surgery on his right knee on February 9 and there no update on him from KKR yet. Read more about it here.

The time for the announcement remains 8:30 PM. Let's hope it doesn't change again.

We don't have any update on Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana since he was ruled out of T20 World Cup 2026? It'll be a big loss for KKR if that happens. They've already most Mustafizur Rahman.

According to the TV schedule of Star Sports Telugu, the IPL 2026 schedule will be announced at 8:30 PM IST. Yet another time change. But the question is, will we get it this time?

Last season, Delhi Capitals played their first 2 home matches at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vizag and last 5 in at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Will they follow the same pattern again?

After a meeting with Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Rajasthan Royals have decided to play 4 home matches at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium.

Earlier, they weren't keen to continue in Jaipur. Their 3 remaining home games will be played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

Fans were eager for the IPL 2026 but they'll have to wait a bit more. That is if it comes out today.

It's 20 past 4 PM now. Clearly the schedule won't be out soon. But the Star Sports schedule on TV now shows 9 PM as the time for the announcement.

No streams on JioStar yet. The T20 World Cup celebrations continue. Will the announcement happen at 4?

It didn't make sense to begin with. Why would BCCI announce the schedule for IPL 2026 on the same day as the T20 World Cup 2026 final?

Yes, the BCCI does often names squads late at night, which isn't exactly convenient. But it just makes sense to release it when the high of the World Cup comes down.

There's real confusion around the time of announcement. Many are asking X's AI chatbot Grok for information and well there aren't any confirmed answers.
