Kolkata Knight Riders shopped well at the IPL 2026 auction, where they had about 65 Cr to spend. Now, that done, there is still a perfect playing XI to be put together, and more importantly, the next step is to go out in the park and win some matches. After an eighth place finish in the IPL 2025, their confidence would have taken a hit, but with the kind of squad they have managed to compile, it is enough to instill fear in the opponents.
Of course, the highlight of the IPL auction for them was, getting all-rounder Cameron Green for 25.20 Cr, but there is more to it , than the Aussie player. Finn Allen for 2 Cr, Mustafizur Rahman for 9.20 Cr, and Matheeshan Pathirana for 18 Cr are all great additions. So, now Insidesport tries to compile a KKR strongest XI for IPL 2026.
KKR strongest XI for IPL 2026
| Position | Player | Role |
| 1. | Ajinkya Rahane | Opener |
| 2. | Finn Allen | Keeper-batter |
| 3. | Angkrish Raghuvanshi | Batter |
| 4. | Cameron Green | All-rounder |
| 5. | Anukul Roy | All-rounder |
| 6. | Rinku Singh | Batter |
| 7. | Ramandeep Singh | All-rounder |
| 8. | Sunil Narine | All-rounder |
| 9. | Harshit Rana | Fast-bowler |
| 10. | Varun Chakravarthy | Spinner |
| 11. | Mustafizur Rahman | Fast-bowler |
One of the bigger decisions that KKR would have to make is, if they want to continue with their formula of opening with Sunil Narine or not. Most teams have found out ways to get him out; he still manages to get runs sometimes, but is not as consistent. So perhaps someone like a Finn Allen can do a better job at the top of the order for the team.
