Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins reportedly reached out to Kuldeep Yadav to urge the spinner to join SRH in IPL 2026. The report comes to the fore ahead of the IPL 2026 trade window and amid rumours of teams finalizing trade options before the mini-auction in December. Yadav was retained by Delhi Capitals for a hefty sum of Rs 13.25 crore before the IPL 2025 mega auction and is an instrumental part of DC’s line-up.
Kuldeep Yadav to move to SRH in IPL 2026?
As per News24, SRH captain Cummins reportedly personally reached out to Kuldeep, urging him to explore the possibility of making a move from DC before IPL 2026. The report claims that the move was aimed at bolstering the team’s spin department. Despite boasting of some classy spinners like Rahul Chahar and Zeeshan Ansari apart from part-timers, SRH indeed lack a specialist spinner with the calibre of Yadav.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep managed to pick 15 wickets from 14 matches for DC in IPL 2025, averaging 24.06. He reached a milestone in the last season, going past the 100-wicket mark in the cash-rich league. Overall, the left-arm wrist spinner has 102 wickets to his name 98 matches and averages 26.95 in the Indian Premier League. Since making his IPL debut in 2016, Kuldeep has played for just 2 teams – 5 seasons with KKR and four with DC.
