India aims to recover from their setback in the Adelaide Test as they gear up to take on Australia in the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The match is scheduled to start on December 14 at Brisbane’s Gabba. Historically, India has played seven Tests at this ground, managing just one win. That memorable victory occurred in 2021 under Ajinkya Rahane’s captaincy, where India secured a three-wicket triumph over Australia.

Motganhalli Laxminarsu Jaisimha has scored the most runs at the Gabba, with 175 runs in a single match. Former Test opener Murali Vijay is second, with 171 runs in 2014, scoring 53 in the first innings and 99 in the second innings. Ajinkya Rahane also features on the list with 152 runs in two matches.

Rishabh Pant was the star of India’s historic victory at the Gabba, delivering a match-winning knock of 89* off 138 balls to end Australia’s dominance at the venue and secure India’s first-ever Test win there.

As India faces Australia again at the Gabba on Saturday, Pant will be a key player to watch. He has amassed 112 runs at the venue and needs just 63 more to surpass Motganhalli Laxminarsu Jaisimha, who holds the record for the most runs by an Indian batter at the Gabba with 175 runs in a single match.
