Right after the culmination of the Asia Cup 2025, the caravan and focus will shift to the more traditional format, i.e., the Test cricket. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Thursday, announced the 15-man squad for the Test series. While it was largely unsurprising, the squad sees the return of Devdutt Padikkal, Axar Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy. It will be Shubman Gill’s first Test assignment as captain at home, with KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan also hitting form just before the series. The cricketing action attracts the most crowd in India and despite it not being a marquee series, the fans would be buzzing to see the international stars live in action.
