India U-19 will look to add another chapter to their rich legacy when they face England U-19 in the final of the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026 on Friday at Harare Sports Club. Having won all their matches so far, India head into the summit clash with a perfect record and will aim to lift their sixth U-19 World Cup title.
This will be India’s 10th appearance in an Under-19 World Cup final. England, on the other hand, are chasing history of their own. The Three Lions are unbeaten in the tournament as well and will be aiming to end a 28-year wait for their second U-19 World Cup crown, having last won the title in 1998 under Owais Shah.
The two sides are familiar rivals at this stage. They met in the final of the 2022 edition in the West Indies, where India emerged victorious under Yash Dhull. England will be eager to settle that score, while India will hope to continue their strong record in finals.
Led by Ayush Mhatre, India topped the league stage before cruising through the Super Six with four wins from four games. They then outclassed Afghanistan by seven wickets in the semi-final to book their place in the final. England, captained by Thomas Rew, were equally impressive, becoming the first team to qualify for the Super Six. After finishing level on points with India in that stage, they defeated Australia by 27 runs in the semi-final.
