In the 2023 ODI World Cup, where India was completely dominating every team, their on-field performances garnered attention. However, what also grabbed the spotlight was the fielding medal, as fans were always eager to know who won the Best Fielding Medal, especially as India was performing wonderfully in the field, taking catches and making several players the recipients of the award. Now, once again, that medal is back. Although it was part of the T20 World Cup as well, in the Indian dressing room, it is now back for the Champions Trophy.
India dominated Bangladesh in the first match, and we witnessed some marvelous fielding. Yes, there were a few dropped catches, including one from Rohit Sharma during Axar Patel’s hat-trick delivery. Dilip announced that the nominees for the award, as shown in the given video, were Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and KL Rahul. In the end, KL Rahul clinched the medal, which was presented to him by Ravindra Jadeja.
