IND vs ENG: After Harpreet Brar in Birmingham, MI pacer joins India's practice session

IND vs ENG: Deepak Chahar joined Team India for a practice session at Lord's on Wednesday, just a day before the match.

England is frequented by Indian cricketers, be it for official tours, a holiday, or even if they want to be out of the public glare. Recently, prior to the second Test, PBKS bowler Harpreet Brar had joined Team India nets session, and even practiced with them. This time around, on the eve of the IND vs ENG Test, the special visitor was bowler Deepak Chahar, who was seen at the Wimbledon, with his wife, just a couple of days before.

Deepak Chahar Joins Team India

Deepak Chahar, although has been out of the Indian team for a sizeable amount of time, could have offered some decent practice to the Indian batters, with a swinging ball. Nonetheless, this practice doesn’t hold too much importance for the pacer. That said, he seemed to have a good time with his old folks.

Meanwhile, Team India would be itching to get their team combination right, ahead of the third Test at Lord’s. The wicket here traditionally doesn’t offer much assistance to the spinners, and the management might consider leaving out Washington Sundar. Ravindra Jadeja could be the lone spinner in the side.

IND vs ENG 3rd Test

At the press conference, Rishabh Pant said, “Options are still open, discussions still going on. Sometimes wicket changes colour in two days. We will take the call. Whether it will be 3+1 or 3+2.” The biggest positive in this match would be the presence of Jasprit Bumrah, who is coming back, after being rested for one match.

India’s squad: Shubman Gill (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Nitish Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav.
