Day 1 of the IND vs ENG 5th Test will stretch late into the night after a rain delay in London. Play resumed late post Lunch after rain stopped the proceedings at The Oval. Stumps could be called as late as midnight as per IST on Wednesday.

- Afternoon session: 7:30 PM to 9:35 PM Tea interval: 9:35 PM to 9:55 PMEvening session: 9:55 PM to 11:30 PM (30 mins extra)
The action was initially scheduled to close at 11 PM IST, with an additional 30 minutes for teams to complete overs.
