IND A vs AUS A Highlights: Sam Konstas century in a 198-run opening stand helped the visitors post 337/5 at Stumps on Day 1

A young India A side had a forgettable day as Australia A dominated on Day 1 of the 1st unofficial Test. Sam Konstas bludgeoned an attacking century to guide them to 337/5 at Stumps in Lucknow. As for India, Harsh Dubey made his case with 3 wickets. Here are all the highlights of the India A vs Australia A game:

Sam Konstas makes a statement

Australia have struggled to replace David Warner at the top of the order. To add to their woes, Khawaja at 38 is not getting any younger. Konstas made his debut in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, famously duelling with Jasprit Bumrah. He was however not considered ahead with Marnus Labuschagne among the many options tried. On Tuesday, Konstas slammed a century in just 120 deliveries, against several IPL stalwarts. A recall to the side with the Ashes on the horizon would not be a surprise.

Harsh Dubey makes a case for West Indies series

Harsh Dubey was India A’s best bowler on a day when they went chasing the leather. The left-arm spinner picked up 3/88 in his 21 overs, offering guile and wicket-taking ability that was desperately absent in the attack. Dubey finished the Ranji Trophy last year as the leading wicket taker, even breaking the records for most scalps in a season. He the further strides with a short stint at Sunrisers Hyderabad. India have a stacked bowling arsenal in Test matches, with Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Washinton Sundar and Axar Patel all in the mix. It might take a while for Dubey to jump into the queue but he is making the right noises to get there.

Prasidh Krishna goes wicketless

Prasidh Krishna missed out on the squad for Asia Cup 2025 but turned up for the India A game. Krishna had a difficult outing, bowling just 11 overs and going wicketless. The Karnataka star was ineffective with the new ball, allowing both Australian openers to get some quick runs. Prasidh had a difficult start in England as well but managed to bounce back in the final Test with 8 wickets. The Gujarat Titans pacer will hope for it to be the case again in Lucknow.
