The International League T20 (ILT20) gears up for it’s first-ever auction ahead of Season 4. For the previous three seasons, ILT20 franchises made squads via combination of direct signings and player draft. The ILT20 Auction will take place on October 1 in Dubai, with several retired Indian stars including Ravichandran Ashwin in the mix.
R Ashwin headlines ILT20 Auction 2025
Ravichandran Ashwin stands a chance to become the highest paid player in ILT20 history after registering himself for the auction. Ashwin recently announced his retirement from IPL and will be available for the entire season. His commitment with Syndey THunder in the Big Bash League only starts after the conclusion of the ILT20 season. Ashwin is listed with the maximum base price of US$120,000.
Ashwin is part of a 196 player shortlist that will go under the hammer. A minimum of 66 and a maximum of 78 players will find deals in Dubai on Wednesday. Piyush Chawla, Ankit Rajpoot, Priyank Panchal and Sidharth Kaul are the other Indian players to have made the shortlist. Dinesh Karthik, Ashwin’s state teammate and RCB batting coach, signed a deal with Sharjah Warriorz and will also feature in ILT20 2026.
