What’s better than seeing fan engagement at ICC events? Cricket lovers eagerly awaiting the Champions Trophy 2025 are in for a unique and enhanced experience during the upcoming big games, as several AI tools on ICC’s digital platforms are set to boost fan interest during the Champions Trophy.
The Champions Trophy, set to start on 19 February and run until 9 March, will feature many exciting matches, including arch-rivals India vs Pakistan and England vs Australia.
Speaking of the AI-powered tools designed to enhance fan engagement with the Champions Trophy, the ICC, in partnership with NEAR Protocol, is introducing several innovative features. The new ICC Recapped feature will track fan engagement, including match predictions, player-of-the-match voting, and other interactions across the ICC’s digital platforms.
Going a little deeper, apart from such activities, the AI engine will analyse fan behaviour throughout the tournament to create personalised records of each fan’s activity. After the competition, fans will receive a recap detailing how accurate their predictions were.
Top Picks game tests fan strategy
A new game called Top Picks will challenge users to select the best performers in each match, but with a twist – they can only pick each player once per tournament.
Meanwhile, the fantasy game SuperTeam, powered by FanCraze, is also here, allowing fans to build teams using their ICC Crictos and compete in daily contests to win exciting rewards.
“The ICC continues to grow its digital offering, ensuring fans will be more immersed than ever during the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. Our use of artificial intelligence allows us to tailor the individual experience for millions of fans across the world to even greater levels. We cannot wait to see fans engage with our host of digital experience products during the tournament,” ICC Head of Digital Finn Bradshaw said
Countdown begins!
With just a few days left, all eyes will be on this prestigious tournament, making its return after a 7-year break. The Champions Trophy is set to start on February 19 and will run until March 9. As mentioned earlier, several big matches are lined up. Yes, all eyes will be on the India vs Pakistan clash, but beyond that, other games are also going to be crucial. It will be highly interesting to see how things comes.
