DRS, October 9: PAK lose to Beth Mooney by 2 runs in Women's World Cup, Jaddu best in Tests

IND U19 win Second Test vs AUS U19

In a low-scoring second U19 Test between India and Australia, visitors went on to register a comfortable 7-wicket win. In the first innings, AUS were bundled out for 135, followed by India’s 171. On Wednesday, AUS were again all out for 116. India achieved the paltry target rather easily. Henil Patel was the star for the team, and bagged six wickets in the match.

In a big blow to Team Australia, their skipper Pat Cummins might just miss the entire Ashes series, due to lumbar bone stress. In his absence, Steve Smith will lead the side. But then, nothing is confirmed for now.

Ravindra Jadeja the Best, Siraj Close to Top 10

As per the latest ICC rankings, Jadeja only consolidated his spot as the best all-rounder in Tests. He even rose to the 25th position in the batting list, while Siraj moved to the 12th spot in best bowlers. The West Indies second Test will give a chance, to improve on their rankings further.

India Squad to Leave on October 15

The Indian team is slated to play an ODI series in Australia, right after the West Indies Tests get over. And for that, the players will leave on OCT 15, a day after the West Indies series concludes. Due to logistical issues, the players will travel in two batches.

Beth Mooney Defeats Pakistan

In the Women’s World Cup, Pakistan had a golden chance to beat Australia. At one stage, they were reduced to 70-odd for 7, but from there on Beth Mooney went on to score a ton. Alana King, batting at No. 10, too slammed a fifty, as Pakistan lost by over 100 runs.

R Ashwin Wants Clear Communication

On his Youtube channel, Ash Ki Baat, R Ashwin spoke about Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma, and their chances of making it to the World Cup 2027. He went on to say, that both parties — the management and the players, should be very clear, as to the future plan is for them, since India does not play many ODIs in the next few months.
