The upcoming Women’s World Cup match between India and Pakistan is expected to be electric after another controversy has happened. Ravichandran Ashwin has spoken about getting unsold in the 2026 ILT20 auction. Abhishek Sharma has revealed how, like Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav backed him. Team India are being called a third-rate team for their Asia Cup antics. 17 of the 20 teams for the 2026 T20 World Cup have been confirmed. Also, one team has taken an upper hand in the Irani Cup.

Ashwin
After Ravichandran Ashwin went unsold in the 2026 ILT20 auction, Simon Doull revealed that the Indian spinner pulled out of the last round of the auction after no one bid for him in the first round. Later, Ashwin stated that he pulled out because he didn’t wish to lower his base price of $120,000.

Azad Kashmir
Before the India vs Pakistan match in the Women’s World Cup, a former Pakistan captain, Sana Mir, stirred controversy. During Pakistan’s clash against Bangladesh, while commentating, Mir referred to Natalia Pervez, stating that the Pakistani player is from ‘Azad Kashmir’. Read more about it here.

Abhishek
Abhishek Sharma has revealed that after failing in his initial few matches, India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav told him that he won’t drop him even if he scores 15 ducks. This gave Abhishek the confidence to take his shots instead of fearing being dropped, and we can see the results now. Previously, Suryakumar had also promised something similar to Sanju Samson.
