Dhoni shouldn’t retire after IPL 2026

In an exclusive interview with InsideSport, Yograj Singh shut down all those who want MS Dhoni to retire. Yograj has been critical of Dhoni in the past, alleging that he ended the careers of several Indian cricketers, including his son Yuvraj Singh. However, Yograj has lauded Dhoni’s fitness and hopes he continues to play for 10 more years.

Don’t want IPL contract

After Ben Duckett decided to pull out of his IPL 2026 stint with the Delhi Capitals, it has been revealed that two other England cricketers, Josh Tongue and Jamie Smith, have rejected offers from IPL franchises to join as injury replacement players. Jamie had gone unsold at the auction in December, while Tongue’s name didn’t come up at all.

Gill unbothered by T20 critics

After failing to play in the T20 World Cup 2026, does Shubman Gill view IPL 2026 as the perfect platform to show the selectors of his worth? The Gujarat Titans captain has replied ‘no’ to that question. Gill believes that his performance since 2022 in the IPL speaks for itself. Right now, all he wants to do is take Gujarat to another trophy.

Suryavanshi gets ICC approval

Vaibhav Suryavanshi can play for India now. While calls for his national selections have been made for a little while now, it’s only now that he can actually don the kit. According to ICC regulations, a player isn’t eligible to play international cricket until they are 15. Suryavanshi, until March 26, 2026, wasn’t eligible. But now, he is.

RR sale makes Warne’s family rich

Four years after his passing, Shane Warne continues to provide for his family. After the Rajasthan Royals were sold for INR 15,286 crore, Warne’s family will get INR 450 crore. Back in 2008, Warne chose to get 0.75% equity for every season he would play instead of a salary. After 4 seasons, he retired. Now, his family can reap the rewards of his investment.

Commentator ditches PSL for IPL

So far, 3 players have decided to play in the IPL despite having PSL contracts. Now, it’s the commentators who are leaving as well. Former England opener Nick Knight was part of the PSL 2026 broadcast list. However, in the recently released commentators’ list for IPL 2026, Knight has been named. Safe to say, he’ll be leaving Pakistan for India soon.
