Pakistan knocked out
New Zealand has qualified for the T20 World Cup semifinal. After Pakistan failed to beat Sri Lanka by 65 runs in Pallekele, the Kiwis will play the first semifinal at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The team that finishes first in Group 1 of the Super 8 will face New Zealand.

CSK camp starts
CSK will commence their pre-season camp from March 1 in Navalur. MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Urvil Patel, Kartik Sharma, and Prashant Veer have all landed in Chennai already. Others like Shivam Dube, Jamie Overton, Sanju Samson, Akeal Hossein, and Matt Henry will join after the T20 World Cup ends.

PCB to drop Babar Azam
Unsatisfied with Pakistan’s performance in the T20 World Cup, the PCB is looking to sack Salman Ali Agha as Pakistan’s T20I captain. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi isn’t satisfied with the results in the last 2 years. Other players like Babar Azam and Usman Khan are to be dropped as well.

India’s new finisher
India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate has clarified that Tilak Varma isn’t the designated finisher after the southpaw batted at number 6 against Zimbabwe. Ryan stated that Tilak wants to enter the middle around the 10th over, but his position and role aren’t fixed. He could bat at 4 or 8.
