India vice-captain Rishabh Pant offered a hint as to what the team’s playing XI could look like for the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. Jofra Archer returns to Test cricket after over 4 years as England unveiled their playing XI. Only one spinner at Lord’s?

Ahead of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test, Rishabh Pant maintained a level of secrecy in the press conference, maintaining, that the playing XI for the IND vs ENG Lord’s Test was not decided as yet.Nonetheless, he was asked about the probable team combination, and he deflected that bouncer quite well too. Return or Archer

After a long 52-month wait, Jofra Archer is all set to don the England whites again. The speedster has been named in the England Playing XI for 3rd Test at Lord’s against India. Archer last played a Test match back in February 2021 in India. However, with nagging elbow injuries and then a back injury prevented his return. Read more here.

“Knew it since IPL”

Akash Deep had dedicated his record breaking performance in IND vs ENG 2nd Test at Edgbaston to his elder sister who had battled cancer. When asked about if he had known about it, Pant said that he was aware but kept it to himself. Making his return after injury, Akash grabbed a ten-wicket haul at Edgbaston in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. Read more here.

SRH vs HCA

HCA president Jagan Mohan Rao has been arrested by the CID, pertaining to the controversy with the SRH owner Kavya Maran, over the distribution of IPL tickets. The complaint was lodged at the Nallakunta Police Station, alleging black marketing of tickets for the IPL 2025 matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Read more here.

Brook becomes no.1

England cricket team batter Harry Brook has piped teammate Joe Root to reclaim the no.1 spot on ICC ranking for batters. Brook’s 158-run knock at Edgbaston coupled with Root’s twin poor outings, the former was able to climb back to the top. SA20 2026 schedule out

The schedule for season 4 of SA20 has been announced and the tournament is scheduled to get underway from December 26 onwards. Defending champions MI Cape Town will take on Durban Super Giants at the Newlands in the season’s opening game. The final will be held on January 25. Read more here.
