Welcome to our special segment, DRS or the Daily Review System. In this, InsideSport will provide you with the top cricket stories from a day before that you might have missed in the hustle and bustle of your busy life.

Both of India’s biggest cricket superstars have injured themselves. Virat Kohli’s batting was a major talking point in Mumbai. KKR has received a major boost. BCCI will investigate RR’s team manager. CSK needs to improve their fielding. And Ravichandran Ashwin is involved in an online battle with a Pakistani spinner.

Ro-Ko injured

Rohit Sharma has sustained a hamstring injury. During the second innings of the MI vs RCB match, the former MI captain was struggling. In the 6th over, he walked off. Considering MI were chasing a mammoth 241 target and Rohit still decided to leave and didn’t return to bat, it’s safe to assume that the injury might be serious. Virat Kohli didn’t take the field in the second innings either, due to an ankle niggle. The severity of his injury isn’t certain yet.

Pathirana gets NoC

Matheesha Pathirana has been cleared to play in the IPL 2026. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has granted the slingy fast bowler a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Pathirana, who’s been out since early February, will join KKR’s squad soon and is expected to feature in their next match against CSK on April 14 in Chennai.

DRS 3

RR manager in trouble

After the video of RR’s team manager Romi Bhinder using a phone in the dugout during the RCB match went viral, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed that the board will launch a probe to determine whether Romi violated the Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA) rules or not.

Kohli’s shocking knock

Josh Hazlewood didn’t play for RCB against MI, but that didn’t change the outcome of the match. Rajat Patidar led from the front, smashing a 17-ball fifty. However, Virat Kohli’s knock earned him criticism. He scored just 50 off 38, while RCB ended with 240 runs. During his knock, a commentator even suggested that RCB should retire him out.

DRS 5

CSK can’t catch

Although CSK managed to win the match, they are still the worst fielding side in IPL 2026. The data (until April 11) shows that CSK has dropped 6 catches, the most. RR, the best team of the tournament, has dropped just 1 catch and taken 25. As the famous cricket saying goes, catches win matches.

DRS 6

Ashwin vs Usman Tariq

Ravichandran Ashwin and Usman Tariq are in a social media tiff. After the former Indian spinner applauded Daryl Mitchell for pulling out due to the Pakistani spinner pausing during his action in the PSL, Tariq indirectly took a potshot at Ashwin, stating that he hopes batters continue to do so and get fined.
