A day after Team India lost to England in the third Test, there was a lot of noise about the events that unfolded on Day 5 of the clash. While a few experts were of course unhappy, with the way India batted, the others were mighty pleased to see the resistance by the lower-order, along with Ravindra Jadeja.

Shoaib Bashir Ruled Out, Liam Dawson Comes in
After suffering a finger injury during the Lord’s Test, England spinner Shoaib Bashir has been ruled out of the last two matches of the IND vs ENG series. That has made way for all-rounder Liam Dawson, who last played a Test for his country in 2017. He pipped the likes of Rehan Ahmed and Jack Leach.

Shubman Gill Opens up on Rishabh Pant Fitness
Bashir wasn’t the only one to suffer a finger injury. India’s Rishabh Pant also took a blog to his left hand, which made batting uncomfortable for him. But skipper Gill has maintained, that the vice-captain would be ready in time for the Manchester Test.

LA28 Cricket Schedule Out
Even though the LA28 Olympics is a fair distance away, but the organisers came up with the tentative schedule, minus the teams. The cricket events in America will be played in two installments — first one from July 12 to 18, and then from July 22 to 28. The qualification criteria still remains a mystery though. Warm-up Schedule for Women’s World Cup Out
The ICC has announced the schedule for the upcoming Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. The practice matches will be held between Sept 25 to 28, across four different venues. India will play against England on Sept 25, followed by a match against New Zealand on September 27.
